Simply the worst customer service in the world. There was a problem with my connection Nov 20; it was all to do with open reach, but I had no wi fi. I was promised would be fixed by Xmas. It wasn’t! In the end I left Sky as they could not provide my address with wi fi; but they still keep billing me. I have phoned numerous times, numerous promises to sort but they still haven’t. Keep getting e mails and bills for a service I don’t have.
Avoid like it’s the plague, mixed with HIV and covid.

Awful.took 3 months to connect me. Have been connected for 1 month now some external fault means I'm cut off. 3 to 5 working days to fix they said. It's been 6. Customer service absolutely crap. They don't care. Pathetic.

very slow broadband, almost impossible to stream without being interrupted every 5 minutes. We asked for a broadband fast enough to be able to stream and this is what they sold us. very disappointed. Never using Sky again.

the initial sales blurb sounded great, the service they promised was second to none (absolute joke) the speed was slow, kept dropping out.. I was promised the price would be reviewed, reduced, when in fact it doubled as soon as my contract ended, the staff make false promises just to lure you in, my complaints were never resolved, sadly SKY are expensive, and do not provide the best service, AVOID SKY!

Broadband is painfully awful. I can’t even watch a YouTube video without it buffering for ages.

Takes 2 hours to upload a 3 minute video to YouTube.

Getting a woeful 7mb at the best of times.

Having to rely on my mobile phone data to enjoy online gaming.

Avoid Sky and save your money and time by going elsewhere.

Sky ru a lyaltiy program whih cthey like to tell you makes you a valued customer, well as a loyal customer of more than 20 years they made little to no effort to resolve issues with our highly unreliable fibre broadband - download speed of 49mbps upload 0.11mbps - how is anyone supposed to operate a modern home using this speed of upload? Sky were disinterested, and almost rude, their advisor telling me to make sure i returned their equipment or i would be charged - well they are welcome to it as it doesn't work ! AVOID if you can

sky customer services, what can I say? Abysmal, I have never in my life received such appalling service from a provider. My Sky box is not working properly and this fault has been going on for weeks, sadly sky are unable to fix the fault and want to charge me £65 for the privilege of sending out an engineer!!. I have don't hours on the phone trying to resolve this issue and totally exasperated I now have asked them to cancel my contract, which they are saying they cannot do. They honestly believe that it is correct and fair to keep a person in their contract with the services not working properly!! They tell me I'm stuck in my contract and despite the service being faulty I have to pay for it! My advice?...... Do not sign up with sky , run a mile!! I am taking legal advice to resolve this issue

I recently moved to UK and decided to go with SKY and feel it was the WORST descision I made. SKY does not take care of it's customer, they do not care whether the engineer is completing job or not, and even if you call they have only one answer - 'it's not our engineer, we can't do anything, you have to wait'. On the day of first appointment to get new connection, the engineer did not show up and I waited for 5 hours till I realized that there was no point in waiting. They did not bother to call to cancel the appointment. Next day, when I called them, they gave another appointment of next week. On the next appointment day, engineer arrived but he left after 2hrs without completing the job and then never came back. When I called SKY they didn't bother to listen and said your internet will be on till midnight. I took leave from work and my whole day was wasted again! even after this when I called them, they did not show any accountability and gave me another option -- 'LOOK FOR ANOTHER SERVICE PROVIDER THAN SKY'

i have been told by my broadband provider that due to the distance i am from the cabinet my fibre speeds are capped at 22 mbs- so by the time it reaches me it drops to between 9 and 13 mbs. i am paying for fibre broadband and i have been told that due to the quality of my telephone line i cannot get faster speeds. is this the fault of BT as they own the lines or is this sky who are telling me they cannot get it any quicker. or is it the quality of their HUB. sky customer service is very good, but not sure if truthful when it comes to speeds.

    Broadband is terrible
Continually drops out. Had to buy a booster to get a decent signal in the room next to where the router is situated
Supposed to get 60+ mb, but never get anywhere near that
Fortunately they have just announced another price increase, which has enabled me to cancel without any exit fees

Absolutely horrible. The upload speed is the worst I have ever experienced and the download not much better. Nobody to talk to at customer services, the chat lines always busy and forget about calling.... you will spend ages listening to the automated sales person telling you why you should upgrade and get SKY TV.... Spend MORE money with SKY? NO THANKS!

Been with sky for a number of years and always thought they were good value as they gave me big discounts on my packages. But lately broadband slowed to a crawl, today 0.5 mhz download and of course it is my fault because I use catchup or tv in stby. Only using my pc gave up in the end cancelled gone with virgin full package although Have to pay extra. ( they advertise up to 17mhz and then on my sky page say I should get 1 to 4 mhz because I am 1.4 miles from exchange) so i am lucky to get 1 MHZ lots of well told lies

We had a day of internet on and off and they said it was probably a connection in our house, the next day every thing working again and speed raise to 8mb which was great, we noticed the speed dropping and when it got to 6.2mb we call to ask why. Sky made a few remote control adjustment and it went to 9.8mb which is even better, over the next week I took 52 reading every day and guess what back to 6.6mb. So Sky have the ability to raise our internet speed to 9.8mb when questioned and allow or lower it when they think we are not looking. Not good enough Sky.

If you can avoid Sky, please avoid. They are team of scammers. One of the agent sold me a Braodband deal on phone with 12 months commitment. Then the letter comes saying 18 months. I called them to cancel and I was told there is no cooling period and there is nothing you could do even if the agent said 12 months. I have raised a complaint with them and it's been two weeks and still no sign of any progress on formal complaint. So beware of what you may be signing.

Wifi totally waste of time. Should get 40mbs getting 0.08 to 22.4. No signal if i move 10ft away from router. Had sky out several times Sky engineer says there's a problem with broadband signal phone sky they say its working fine no help at all. Went to Argos bought wifi adapter for £19.99 plugged in set up in 60sec can now get signal no prob. Sky just want your money not interested what happens after total waste of time.

I shall keep this short and sweet, in case it turns into a rant.

My internet connection fluctuates constantly throughout the day, going from fair/poor to just poor. It is so bad that I get constant hitches in service where either it struggles to refresh a page on the net, or loses connection altogether. And this is when sitting just one room away from the crappy sky router. I have to use a signal booster in my bedroom upstairs, otherwise it is non-existent. Seriously, to all those people who are thinking of going with Sky... just don't. Choose ANYBODY else but them (apart from Talk Talk of course).

We have had an ongoing issue with our sky broad band for about 3 months. Internet had been on and off. Sometimes off for days at a time. After numerous calls to sky...recently everyday the issue is still to be resolved. We have been instructed to buy a new router which did not work then 2 days later a engineer and now a week later they want us to pay for another engineer to come out. We are paying for broad band and on demand services which cannot be used. Id advise using another provider if you want any reliability and to save money.

Oh dear. 22 years with Sky. Diamond VIP: none of it means a thing. I have wasted over 3 hours on the phone trying to resolve an issue started with one of their advisors putting me into an unsuitable contract. I’m afraid our relationship is over and I am now referring the matter to small claims court. I am not sure why they now have such an unreliable customer service team. The representatives all appear very helpful but promises of return calls fail to materialise and undertakings to offer a resolution are not honoured. I would urge anyone with similar issues to take legal action to at least air the matter.

The staff in their call centres seem to have tried hard to fix the problems with my line, but since switching to them my broadband has gone from being "rock solid but a little sluggish" to "OK for a while, but sooner or later, totally useless". After escalating my problems, my connection was good for a while, but now it's heading for the toilet again...

Although it had its ups and downs, generally pleased with sky broadband.

It would cut out every now and then (NOWHERE NEAR AS OFTEN AS BT DOES, THE PIECE OF TRASH..) but it liked to cut out a few times a month.

Speed was pretty much as advertised, and it didn't drop to 0.001mb like BT broadband does.

    Would reccomend Sky broadband

I really wish zero stars was an option, because that's how awful sky customer service is. I've been calling for a month to cancel my broadband and their phones have always been 'extremely busy'. Then I messaged them on Facebook and was given an absolute rubbish reason as to why they couldn't help me, after which I was asked to call again. I'd suggest just to cancel your direct debit if you have one set up.

Can't wait to leave my current houseshare as it means I can finally ditch Sky broadband.

The wifi works ok-ish if you're sat right next to the router. Otherwise intermittent (even with router boosters). During Covid it has been absolutely terrible. Thankfully I don't need it for work because if I did I'd be stuffed. Just very annoying - currently trying to watch a youtube video on 144p which is pausing every 10 seconds.
If it crashes completely prepare to have no internet for 2 weeks, and to spend hours waiting on hold with Sky 'helpline'. Like my old dial-up connection in 2001. Shockingly abysmal. But Sky are raking it in from all their various activities so don't care.

Moved to a new home Nov 2019 and was talked into keeping superfast BB at £33 a month. Their advertising was very hard at an average of 59 mbs and still is...AVERAGE!! An engineer told me on his 3rd visit I could only ever get a max of 22 mbs , and that was only if the rest of the street was offline!! My average was around 10, but when I questioned this for a rebate, they said they only had guaranteed 9.2. So, paying for an average speed of 59 mbs at peak times, getting 21mbs maximum, but 10 average, and because it is more than the 9.2 they guaranteed, nothing they can/will do. Advertising almost 60, guaranteeing less than 10. Shizen. They did refund me as expected when lines were down. but stonewalled regarding the above. I have since adjusted my SKY subs from £133 to £62 a month. Vote with your ££££. FGS Check what you can get into your house before signing up to pretend s[eed as they will use their !i told you so! card and rip you right off as long as they can get away with it.

I've been with Sky for ~8 years. Unlike many people here my connection has been always very reliable and as fast as the cable/attenuation/physics permitted.
However, one which always bothered me big time with them is that after 18 months they would always try to move you to the "no-discount" rate which nobody anywhere charges as it's ~30% more expensive. Even as a "veteran/platinum" customer I'm treated like an fresh imbecile while new customers are get cheaper deals they my current contract.
I've always been able to negotiate "discounts" to keep my bills pretty much identical year-on-years. But this year is the first time Sky isn't will to negotiate. Which means 30% increase. Which means Bye Bye!!!

I have been using Sky broadband for over 4 years now. The broadband speed is was always really good and customer service helpful. The only bad thing is an additional charge for not having Sky TV(!) I have never opted for using the TV service so don't understand why they charge me for that? Would not move to different provider if they have better offers for existing customers.

    Sky broadband is absolutely shocking
The speed I receive is unacceptable
Every time I phone I get told it’s my area !!!! You would think I stay in the middle of the country side but I DO NOT believe it or not I stay 2 minutes away from Irvine town centre !!!!!
