Today my internet was cut off for no aparant reason or without warning at 1.20pm. I called the customer help line and found the person rude and evasive. She informed me that there had been restrictions on my account. I found this very strange because I had called talk talk earlier that day at 8.20am to pay my set bill. I immediately asked to be put throught to a manager or someone who can help me. I then spoke to mike from technical support who was understanding and patient who truly understood what I was going through I explained the situation and he calmly explained it happeneds all the time and that it's a common thing he totally defused the situation and helped me get back online. I found this to be great customer service because I was not happy with my internet being cut and I was very close today switching broadband networks.

Shout out to mike from technical support your a legend mate and deserve a raise.

Once my current deal expires, I'm off!!
Internet drops out randomly. E-mail access is just pot-luck, one day I get an error message, the next I log-on and get a blank screen, sometimes I can actually get to my mail!! It took me about an hour yesterday to finally get to my mails after countless attempts. Customer services are generally OK, but I'm tired of having to call them about problems.
    In short, poor.

Arranged an instalation engineer to call 6 weeks in advance. I am then pestered by texts and emails tellig me that if I was not there to let the engineer in it would entail a £65 charge. The time slot I was given was between 1 and 6pm. At 4.30 pm I am sent a text telling me the engineer will not be calling and to rearrange despiote me taking a day off work to wait in for the idiots. called their customer service and asked then for £65 failed enginer charge in recompense to me and their reaction was " We don't do that sir." I therefore cancelled the contract with Talk Talk even before the system was set up. If they cannot stick to their arrangements at the outset there is no hope for good service thereafter. AVOID.

upgraded to talktalk faster fibre broadband and gave me a new router .. router initially failed to connect to the internet took 2 hours to find remedy on online and telephone chats .. day after internet was still constantly crashing 2 more hours wasted .. Talktalk state average speed should be 38Mb but speed checker only shows 20 now they are going to arrange for a free engineer call ... frustrated

I have at last rid myself of this abysmal company they are a terrible company to deal with, and the price kept going up on my direct debit like a broken escalator.
On transfer to a decent company talk talk kept sending unsubstantiated bills its useless to ask for a written explanation. A horrible experience with a company that could not care less.

    Dreadfull service.
Signed up in April 2014 for phone and Superfast Braod band.
    Broad Band very slow.
Finaly died 4 weeks ago beginning of September. Called Talk Talk Service line and Talk Talk Engineer came out after about 7b days, and said fault was in the road with BT Open Reach. Open Reach engineer came out, and siad Talk Talk had not connected up in the house correctly, and also had broken the portal connection out in the road, and there was no room for another connection, So open reach coulf not give me Broad Brand.
I subsequently went back to Talk Talk at the telephone every night for nearly three weeks asking a question, cold thye give me braod band ' yse or no'...they could not say either, they just blamed open reach.
I asked to terminate the contract because they could not supply me with the service after nearly 4 weeks. they asked for a cacelation fee of £380.0?
After 4 weeks on constant telephone calls, i now have a broad band connection. But the speed is less than 10MB...noy suoper fast.
I am now back again with Talk Talk at the telphone most nights, asking when they are going to fix it and give me Super fast. They say they need to get Open REach back for an inspection.POn reach say the fault lies with Talk Talk who have not instlled correctly!!???
Im still waiting and still paying for a service i have not been supplied with.
In my world If i gave that sort of service the company would have been fired and face proabale legal action.
The sercice is not fit for purpose, and is missing selling.
    Dreadfull service!!

I really never complain but anyone that expects VFM PLEASE PLEASE shop elsewhere.
This is simply the worst company I have dealt with in my life.
The contact centre is in the Philippines, most of there operators struggle with English. Now me as a Glaswegian at best is hard to understand but this formula is catastrophic.
Almost two months and three and a half hours on my mobile (at premium rate) to cancel my contract.
    DONT EVEN CONSIDER THIS SERVICE.
Please remember you have been warned.

How can they call it faster fibre when it still comes down a 30 year old copper BT telephone line to my house. I don't know where the fibre optic cable is but it certainly doesn't work. Keeps going off all the time. Just had a thunder storm / off. It really is rubbish.

I ordered a free broadband package with telephone in september 15 online, they were quick enough to set up a direct debit in hours but unfortunately no letter ot router appeared after two weeks, I rang and after being put on hold for what seemed to be an eternity I eventually managed to speak to someone who reassured me it was on its way, I waited another week then they rang me to ask if I was enjoying my broadband. At this point after receiving nothing but a direct debit set up by me I decided enough was enough and I told the man on the other end of the phone to cancel my order. I should have learned by my mistake as I had talk talk a few years ago and had lots of problems with them . No stars at all

Have been with TalkTalk for several years now. Only use TalkTalk because the broadband is free. It took over a year before I could get and stay on line for more than a few minutes before I lost connection. Talktalk had so many excuses why this was happening , I even moved my computer near to my doorway to prove that it was not the connection in my property that was causing the problems. I must say that for the past 6 months I can get on line most of the time. Having recently purchased a laptop I asked Talk Talk for a router so that I could use my laptop. That was on the 15th of September as yet after 5 phone calls the router has still not materialised. I have been given all sorts of excuses but still no Router. Because I can now use the broadband I believed that Talktalk had improved their service. Shows how wrong I am. I would never reccomend Talktalk to any of my friends , to be honest I do not hate anybody enough to reccomend them to Talk Talk either!!

    Idiots.
Ended my broadband contract 16 months ago and returned the equipment in the envelope provided.
Got another envelope yesterday to return the equipment.
Emailed them and it is like talking to my backside.
    Asking for my account number
    I told them I don't have one, I did 16 months ago.
    Blocked their emails. Complete idiots.

Phoned to renew my contract of many years now. Told I need to upgrade my package and take a TV box - i have no choice in the matter but nothing will change with my package. They then said they will charge me to send a new router out. I said I don't need it but they said the computer does it automatically. Spoke to customer service who assured me I wouldn't get charged.

Got charged for the postage. Phoned them up and after arguing with the person in the far east saying that Talktalk basically lied to me they put me through to the UK. This lady them refunded it within 10 seconds then proceeded to insult my intelligence when I asked her why her company lies to her customers she went through my marketing preferences and then said 'is there anything else I have help you with' not answering or responding to the fact they just lied to me. Unbelievable!

I signed up for the 60mb service and only got 27mb, not happy. Customer service: they seem to be trained to very carefully bounce you around until you get bored and give up without the problem being solved. The customer is always wrong.

It's a pity you have to put any rating to get on here. They don't deserve any. I am not a racist, and this is not a racist comment. But why would someone sitting in India care what someone in the UK thinks about them. The most unless bunch of miss fits I have had the misfortune to cross paths with. Internet been none existent from day one. The joys of waiting 50 minutes to chat to someone on your mobile network, to then be told , " I am passing you on please wait" and that's it, no can I pass you on, just wackenhut you are now in another question. I suppose their thinking is " This will get a few to hang up" They fail to fix problem and then tell you even though you have paid 2 months for no service, you have to give us 30 notice and pay us another months money. I go on chat under partners name, as it's done in her name. On one occasion I had one of them hitting on me.
If you are reading reviews because you are thinking about joining talktalk. Run away, they are conveniently just taking your money and giving you nothing in return. They seem to be spending our money on sponsoring x factor. I can see why, their craft to. Run away

Been with talktalk over 5yrs. And I cancelled my contract with them because they told me they wud give me a better deal. And my payment would go down. But guess wat it went up. So I tried to cancel it .I got told I would have to give them 30 days notice which I did. But then I got another bill saying I owed more money.. But they sent me a letter saying my contract had been cancelled and I also got two e.Mails conferming it had been cancelled . So I stopped the direct debit . Then I phoned talktalk and ask why was I reciving these bill and the told me I hadnt cancelled.. I wrote a letter and the told me there was an issue that they would resolve it within 72 hours... Butguess wat no reply .So I phoned again and again on both accasions I was told I had to give them another 30days notic... Witch I refuised to do caz I had already gave them 30 day ... My experience with the advisors who I was talking to was very upsetting.. They tried to call me a lier on several ocassions wich I started to cry at this.. Cause I suffer with depression and this whole thing with talktalk got me so down.. I wrote another letter to head office and they phoned me back. The lady who phone me said that I hadnt recived any emails or cancelation letters because they dont do that and there was nothink on my records show that they had sent me these.. But I have the proof... Again... So realy she called me a lier again .. The bills came to 142.00 pounds .. I was told out of good gesture the they would waive the 100 pound I said I would pay the 42 but I would take this matter further... Then to my amazment I got told off her if I took it further that I would have to pay the 142.00, so to me that is a threat... Tyvm talktalk for the lovley threats and calling me a lier.. My step dad has been with talktalk for year to.He was that descusted on how I had been treat .. That he wrote a letter with a copy of my cancelasion letter in with... He is so descusted he is also cancelling his contract with them now... So plzzzzz any one out there who reads this just please be awear whitch company you go with...

I live in the US. My elderly parents 80 and 90 have been treated abominably. Threatened with being billed for not being home to receive engineers who DONT turn up for a landline out of order for 6 WEEKS! Do not join them - you will be sorry the moment a problem occurs. I am telling everyone I know. Your reputation is being spread outside the company. Fix this issue - contact me directly and I will gladly upgrade this review

A shocking company - PLEASE AVOID.
I never received any internet or phone line. I cancelled within the 20 day cooling off period. Yet they are still trying to Bill me even though I have received previous letters showing 0 balance. Now they are saying the 20 days is from when I first ordered online - rubbish.
The customer service is actually the worst I have ever received. Currently I have spent 6 hours on live chat over 4 nights to to sort an engineer and cancelling. When I rang up they said I have no account lol. The engineers only rang me 2/3 days later after I cancelled. Luckily I have records of all the conversations as they have tried so hard to charge me different monies for a service I had never received and different dates to try and go passed the 20 days cooling. DO NOT TRUST.

After 9 months of torture we are leaving Talk Talk. Do NOT sign up with them. Internet literally never worked the whole time. Phone didn't work for the first few months. They kept trying to charge us for things and then I would spend hours on the phone taking care of it. They say they will call back and don't. Do yourself a favour and sign up with anyone else!!

I've been a TALKTALK customer for over a year now.
For the first 6months I had little-to-no connection and from day 1, I asked that an engineer be sent out to sort out the problem.
I tethered my work and home devices to my mobile network (O2), which wasnt the ideal scenario as I paid through the nose for data.
Eventually (after many months of calling and spending my own time) TalkTalk sent a BT engineer whom fixed the issue.
All the while I paid for TALKTALK's 'services'.
Fast forward to today, having paid every month for 6months of no service, and they have not credited my account for (estimated) the 18hrs I've spent on the phone to them to resolve the issues pertaining to my account and lack of service + the hours I could've worked and billed clients + the money I spent with 02 during the first 6months to actually be able to send emails etc from home (where I also work) etc.
Total lack of accountability on their end, there client serivce is appauling with little to now proactive engagement from there end, even sending me text messages saying they're closing my complaint as they've tried calling me unsuccessfully when they didn't call me in the first place (I've had the same phone number for 5+years).
I could go on, but basically what I learnt here is:
DON'T BE A TALKTALK CUSTOMER, DONT BE A COW TO BE MILKED BY THE FARMER OF INCOMPETENCE

I have had TalkTalk as my supplier at home (where I also work) for well over 6 months now. In that time, I place (on average) about two calls a week to their call centre for help (+ requesting an engineer) in increasing the speed and reliability of their 'superfast broadband' package - which was advertisers to deliver speeds of up to 80mb.
Regularly I have no access to the internet whatsoever and it rarely achieves speeds over 4-6mb. When I call, their staff are of no help whatsoever, some hang up on me when I try to get them to listen to me rather than go 'off their script'. Its been over 6 months and they have yet to send an engineer out to sort out whatever problem plagues their product.
In short, DONT take out a TALKTALK contract.

After signing up to what i thought was a 12 month contract, we now find out it is an 18 month contract!! so the penalties are ridiculous

We have suffered multiple issues, broadband speeds of: 0.5 to 1.5 mbps the resonse all the time is: we have now done our checking process & it has now been fixed, ( 7 times) in 12 months, very poor quality, service, response times, communication & reply's to problems. I believe TalkTalk is the worst company to ever be formed a total disgrace !! Be warned they have the worst customer service you will ever encounter!! and they won’t be slow at helping themselves to hefty sums from your bank account without contacting you.
Join this lot and at some point you will just want to die.

This lot at talk talk are as bad as it gets , they take stupidity to a new level ! They have somehow managed to mix up to accounts my daughters and mine we seem to be paying each other’s bills , passwords are mixed up account names don’t correspond with addresses and after so many calls they still haven’t managed to sort. Worst service on planet earth . If you want to be left feeling like jumping of a bridge this company will definitely give you motivation to jump. Don’t touch with a barge pole. You have been warned you won’t be the exception where it ends well.

Extremely poor. Broadband is more off than working. Taking ages to get an Engineer out to fix a problem.

Talk Talk is an absolute and total nightmare. Appalling service and customer care. Company is concerned with making profit at the expense of only and customer's satisfaction. Would give them 0.00001 stars if the option was available.

It is just impossible to speak to someone at TalkTalk, you are sent text messages (which you have to pay for), directed to online Private Messaging or getting the same unhelpful responses on their facebook. It would appear that the provider their security package 'Supersafe' is no longer taking calls and their Philippines call centre has lost their number - or more likely its been removed because the Security provider can't cope with all the calls - who knows, for sure they don't and we probably never will. Delay in supply, shoddy assistance, lack of customer interface, lack of service and an intermittent broadband - it's not just me their facebook is littered with issues. All in all I simply cannot recommend.

Where to start. They charge a random amount per month above 30 quid for reasons their shoddy customer service can't work out or want to say. Their speeds are so terrible you can't online shop, watch YouTube, use Netflix, play Xbox Live or even use your mobile phone online separately let alone a combination of mobile/console/computer. They have now even lowered our speed from appalling to "Good luck having a stable 0.6mbps connection for more than an hour" after cable got laid to force us to swap. Never got the speed we were promised to begin with, but now I'm missing the 90's when 56kbps was quicker and more reliable. Don't even get me started on the upload speed. And they then tell use "Nothing has changed, but if you want, you can take cable if you need more speed. We'll start the purchase order now for you without your permission." I'd liken this service to using a prototype version of 1980's Telnet, and would more likely recommend that than Talk Talk. If you want to swap, tell them you're moving to Australia. They have to cancel your contract otherwise they are in breach of it because they don't provide Broadband in Australia. If you want to swap to Talk Talk, stop drinking Formaldehyde then re-think every choice that led to you thinking that was a good idea.

It's a shame, the telephone & broadband service are just like any other basic packages on the market but sadly they seem to suffer from poor customer services & a lack of communication. I have had a number of issues with them & they have never been sorted out properly & one being I had 2 payments taken from my bank account to which the promised to return the funds in 14 days, this never happened so I had to turn to the bank to reclaim the charges. I have also had an awful lot of cold calls from them altering packages which they say will benefit me, I have found out today they had miss informed me of a change made. They phoned me from India & told me after they have looked through my account I would have a significant saving with my current profile but this was contradicted by there representative in the UK who told me there was no benefit at all looking from my past profile but stopped short of agreeing it was miss sold to me but said he was sorry. I have also had other cold calls offering me better deals later on & on my last one around October/November in 2011 they tried to tie me into a new 18 month contract & I made it clear I was no interested they then said they would do this without any contract so I could see for my self the benefits & would be happy. I agreed to this but the customer services in the UK had no record or any amendments to my policy. I have dug out my customer complaints e-mails from last year with all the issues & will be going through the motions of there complaints procedure again. Talk Talk could be a good service but it seems the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing, the comments I make here are only the tip of the ice berg & much more has gone on by far so this only reflects my personal views on there service.

Do Not get into BT, Sky or TalkTalk! trust me i've had these and honestly people these companies are a huge fraud, no matter if you get normal broadband or fibre their speed hardly gets to 3mb/s in day time, actually it hardly gets to more than 500kb/s! to be specific, extremely slow, cant even watch a 30 min video not hd without having to pause it every 3 mins! after 12 months the price is automaticly doubled, really bad customer service and they do everything to keep you with the company trying to tell you rubbish, these three are the biggest frauds in the uk! Their connection drops constantly no matter how many times you follow the instructions and I live close to the main connection ... Save yourself some trouble and annoyance, Don't let yourself be one of many many victims of them three most rubbish and pathetic companies in the uk, be wise, CHOOSE EITHER PLUSNET, NOWTV, OR EE and have no problems at all.

The worse Internet ive ever had... Even had to use my phone to post this. Changing providers as soon as my contract expires, which can't come sooner
