Frankly fed up with this company. CUSTOMER SERVICE is not the worse that I have had- obviously I have been to petrol stations late at night- however it's not far off. When you phone up to complain about a fault, you are told that they will investigate (after a bloody age on the phone) then never hear back from them- and your internet still sucks.

BROADBAND SPEED I feel I have to give them 5* for this as the 3.4Mb/s that we occasionally peak at is close to the terrible max speed available due to the archaic technology that BT employ in rural areas (yet BT still charge you phone rental as if you are getting 21st century service... FML). The main problem with the quality of the inter net is the...

BROADBAND RELIABILTY is absolutely appalling!! As previously mentioned, you may get the max speed, but not for long. our speed drops to 0 fairly often, although this is the max speed we can expect at times apparently LOL. Ping, checked using speedtest by ookla, hovers between 55 and 925ms. Which is awesome.

Honestly recomend staying away from these people as they care little for their customers, and the quality you get is just plain bad. Television was so bad we gave up after the second day. On the bright side, the phone works... so YAY?

I wouldn't recommend anyone join TalkTalk, I have called and cancelled my contract twice and the idiots on the phone (can barely understand a word of English) promise I won't be charged and the month after I'm sent a bill. This company is an absolute joke!

As well as bad customer service my WiFi used to stop working quite often, sometimes for 24 hours, when they promise you an engineer they charge you £50 and the engineer only brought a new router to my house. Every time they promise not to charge you you receive a bill.

Landline is too expensive and will cost you a bomb.

All in all, don't give Talk Talk your money!

Only problem was when my old router conked I was promised a new one would be sent in 7 days. It did not arrive and when I queried I was told, " We can confirm your new router has NOT been ordered but we can order one for £45." I sourced my own and tip top communication since. Great broadband and phone deals - by far the cheapest and would highly recommend.

Never reduced monthly payment as I now only have phone & unlimited broadband, they've never sorted any problem I've had, they expected me to unscrew boxes & wires,I can't download on catchup on my sky box my speed is too slow it took 18hrs to download a half hour programme,so many calls & not resolved yet & can't leave till contract ends in two months. Will never recommend them ever!

If Talktalk had a star for 0, that is what I would be giving them.

Please do not be fooled by their cheap packages, this is what I was fooled by. They are rubbish!

Their customer service is extremely poor. I am of indian origin and I find it hard to understand them, let alone a native English speaker. However, that is not the least of their problems. Faults or issues are hardly ever written down so that a member of the team can follow it. If you speak to a new member, they have no idea what is going on.

Broadband speed is the worst. There are times when google will not load, the upload and download speed is ridiculous! Don't expect to be watching movies every now and then as you will be playing around and resetting the router and praying you get a clear connection and better speed!

Broadband reliability is also rubbish. We have been on and off connection for 3 months now and nothing has been done about it. Talk talk send in one of their rubbish technicians, who then get angry with Talktalk themselves and say we need a BT technician. Then Talktalk calls back and says we will monitor it for a few days and then sort it out. It has been happening over a month now and we are changing to BT internet. It is not worth the hassle. Talktalk are by far the worst internet provider we have ever had. I would rather pay a little more to have more reliability and talk to people who know what they are talking about.

It is your choice to choose talktalk but expect problems!

I couldn't believe the mad conversation I had with customer services over installation of my phone and broadband. my mum kindly bought me the package for Xmas online and I had it all confirmed that it would be installed on the 5th jan. I needed my phone Asap and asked if that could be installed first.... No was the answer. I then noticed that my mum put number 11 instead of 111 on the account, so I called to get them to change it. They said it was all done but when I checked the account it was still at 11. I called again and they said I would have to cancel the order and re order it to change it as it was ordered online. That would mean I would lose the installation date and would have to wait later on in the month for the next free one. I told them how desperate I was for my phone so I don't want to cancel it as I can't wait longer. They were adiment this couldn't be done, then I asked if it could be treated like I was moving house, they said yes they could change it but after it was installed..... So they are going to install it to the wrong address to then uninstall it to move it up the road!!!! How does that make any sense!!! I asked the women if she thought that sounds mental and she thought it was completely acceptable. So told them to shove the whole package and I've gone with EE who could fit it all in the same week to the right address that I could change when I liked!! Lovely thank you very much. Talk talk.... You suck.

TalkTalk wifi cut out completely for 8 full days. I notified TT on the first day, and spent a large part of the week on the phone to them, mostly having to repeat myself. An appointment was arranged for an engineer to come on the 7th day of the fault, but he failed to turn up. I contacted TT and was told the engineer said he "had been outside the house". I asked repeatedly whether he was claiming to have rung the doorbell, but they simply repeated that he said he had been outside the house. After several lengthy calls I got another appointment for the 9th day of the fault. This time the engineer came and fixed the fault. I had previously asked for, and been promised a customer service call after the fault was fixed, to arrange compensation, but that call never came. I now find I have been charged for an engineer's "missed appointment" and this has taken my current account below ££0 so I will also be charged by the bank. I am old, and fairly used to scurrilous practices by companies, but even I am stunned by this communication company's appallingly poor communication, greed and complacency.

I have been with TalkTalk for the last two years and in that time I have experienced some appalling customer services from their team but nothing which comes close to the completely unprofessional disaster that I experienced today.

In total I spent approx. 56 minutes on the telephone attempting to negotiate a new contract with this company. I was passed through three different advisors, all of whom offered me the earth moon and stars to prevent me from leaving before being transferred to a further third advisor in India who abruptly went through the standard identification procedure and listened to the reason for my call, (the previous advisor never bothers to inform the next of the reasons for the transfer) before placing me on hold in such a way which allowed me to hear the conversation in the call centre.

For the next twenty minutes (until I finally felt too appalled to continue listening) I heard the advisor laugh and joke with her colleagues without ever coming back to me. When I called back after having calmed myself down I was informed that everything I had been told by all three previous advisors had been incorrect and I could effectively take the price or leave it.

Needless to say I am now with EE who are actually must cheaper. In a nutshell I will just say this. They have the worst customer service of any company I have ever encountered and before you think about signing up to them, think again. It is truly not worth the hours of being placed on hold to India only to be treated in a disgraceful and unprofessional manner. No amount of savings are worth the hassle.

The customer service was appalling. The one
Time that I had to contact them due to
Their error I found the customer service,
Unprofessional , not understanding, and did not
Grasp the reason for my call.
Very disappointing because the actual connection
Of the broad band was great. A great shame I
Would suggest that they allow you to speak to
A professional an English speaking person
If you have a complaint to resolve. Nothing
About overseas contracts but this does not
Work for talk talk. Overall satisfaction is zero
Not the above as your web page will not allow amend
