    Worst broadband speed. Promised as per contract and what I get - it is just joke. And that already over year. Customer service don`t know what they're doing. Worst company I've ever been with.

    Can't wait for my contract to be over with this company. They will give you 4 year old technology and deny it. They refused to deal with you over the phone unless you are at home and doing checks on the computer, and after you do that. They refuse to do anything about it.

    Also no one on the phone speaks English or knows anything about technology they are clearly reading a script (badly)

    If you are new in the UK and looking for an internet provider, save youtself the headache

    Service is highly variable in speed and connectivity.

    Customer service is absolutely atrocious; almost impossible to actually get to speak to someone and when you do (by threatening to leave) they are completely script based and of no actual assistance whatsoever.

    Talk Talk has an extremely poor customer service, there phone services are soo terrible. there is not point even having internet as it would not work in the next room. i have cancelled my contract with Talk Talk and paid the cancellation fee and asked if there is any other payments and the answer i got was this is all now after couple months the are asking me to pay £20.00. do not join talktalk. it is very poor and i wouldnt even want to rate them 1 star.

    Absolute garbage.
    I've been with them for 2 months. I have been on the phone to talktalk for over 15 hours.
    They gave me a "deal" for £26 pound a month. They put the wrong address.
    I called them and informed them of this. They had to delete that whole account and start anew. They couldn't use the same email so I had to create another. Gave me the same "deal for £26.
    Got the email, charging me £28 per month. Called them and informed them of this. Was told "The operations manager will look into this and we promise your bill will be £26". First bill came after 2 weeks of me going live and it was £42. £28 regular and £14 pro-rata charge.
    I've phoned and informed them of this. They refunded the £14 and as "good-will" they upgraded me to a faster Internet for £26. Spent another hour providing details again.
    Next bill is £28.
    I've called to inform them of this. They then give me a £20 credit to last until end of contract. 18x£2 is apparently £20. They then added another £16 when I bought this up. Also turns out that the hour I spent on the phone giving my details to "upgrade" to a faster Internet wasn't actually done.
    I am now awaiting the complaints team to cancel the whole contract unless they want to pay me an hourly wage for doing all their work for them.
    How can so many different teams be so incompetent?
    Absolute garbage.

    I used to be a talk talk customer. It was all ok at the first place. I had the download speed of 36 when I first got the deal and after some time it dropped down as low as 1-9. I made several phone calls but nothing had been done or sorted. This went on about 7-8 months and I decided to change my provider. I switched to sky and I m now paying 3 times more than I used to pay to talk talk, but I m now very happy with the connection and all of the other services. Not only this, I still keep receiving bills from talktalk despite I left them about 3 months ago because I have been told that I don’t have to do anything because my new provider was going to do everything on my behalf. I receive mails with my bills inside(bills of something that I haven’t even been able to use) and I can’t even reply to those mails as it doesn’t allow me to do so. You can’t even talk or connect anyone if u want to cancel something but instead if u want to buy or upgrade , they are very prompt to answer and talk to you.
    I don’t even understand why this company is called TalkTalk, when they can’t even talk to anyone. Funny and ridiculous.
    People, you better pay a bit more and get no hassle. Stay away from this TalkTalk ****.

    RUDE STAFF ! CUSTOMER SERVICE IS BEOND SHOCKING !

    Charged when I didn’t even have a box from the provider ! Over charged for 3 months when it was cancelled have made my life hell ! Utterly shocked by the awful treatment I received would never recommend will be contacting trading standards as they took more money out of the account than they should just rip off merchants utterly disgusting service

    One of the worst company's ever. There customers service is disgusting and non existent. There service is poor and there where constant drops in connections and various other issues. When our contract finally ended we moved to a fabulous new provider (there are many to choose from these days) however talk talk didnt end our contract and have now sent bailiffs after us for £40. If you want a life full ofnhassel and crap join talk talk broadband!

    As many other people's reviews, it pained me to give even one star for their customer service, if you could even call it that!
    I have had no issues with the speed of my broadband or phone line. However, one day we decided to switch to the Esential TV package and remove our anytime call boost. We were not told that this package is basically a paying Freeview! Our package was supposed to go live in 5 - 8 business days, we received our Youview box and connected it up. Knowing it was not yet live. I made a call to a family member in England at 2.45pm. I received an email at 5.32pm saying you package had gone live. I found out that the call I made was charged £7.30 on to my bill. The call was only for one hour!
    I went onto the chat to ask for an explanation and was told that nothing could be done, I escalated. I know it's for a small amount, but that was not my point. This was a week ago! I arranged a manager to call me back the next day at 6pm as I work during the day, they phoned me at 2pm. I could not understand one work the manager said on the voice message as he was speaking very fast and the accent was terrible. I arranged another callback, that didn't happen. It is now a week later and callbacks have never happened. Staff continuously promise callbacks at my desired time.
    I work in customer care for a well known company, I am appalled at the service. I work hard every day to make sure my customers are happy, they barely lift a finger. I will not recommend this company. STAY AWAY!!

    Honestly if it were possible to give zero I would. Temperamental connections, total disregard for personal data and the worst customer service I have ever encountered. Do yourself a favour and stay well away from this company unless you want to spend hours of your life in correspondence with them over the slightest issue.

    Had talk talk for 2 months, was never working, was connected but there was no data coming in or out. after month of trying to solve the problem, they still didn't fix it so I left.

    no connection and zero customer service!!! I would rate ZERO if I could ! Worst ever broadband I have ever had with non-exist customer service. tried to phone them numerals times ended been transfered here and there a bunch of useless people who treat customers like mat who pay them each month for nothing but troubled. STAY CLEAR !!!!

    Terrible company, avoid at all costs! Customer service slow, incompetent and rude. Have wasted many hours on the phone being treated like dirt. I went a month without internet because engineer after engineer failed to turn up, so wasted hours sitting at home waiting for them for nothing. Every time I called talk talk I had to explain the whole situation again, put on hold for 20 minutes at a time with no explanation. Each time promised another engineer appointment which failed to materialise. Eventually after a month of no service was forced to cancel with talk talk and am still owed money which I am having great difficulty getting back. Worst company I have ever come across.

    Unfortunately I have to give one star!!
    Absolutely horrendous. Internet hasn't worked since it was fitted. Two one hour sessions with on line engineers still not resolved it. Went through to customer services to cancel service as goods not for fit for purpose and was told I have to go without broadband working for 28 days as proof of not working in order to get out of contract!!
    Very poor customer services; completely scripted. Hung on for 20 minutes before being dealt with and got moved from pillar to post! Wouldn't touch them with a barge pole. My pet hamster could provide better customer service- and he's been dead for two years (RIP Hammy!)

    If I could give a zero star i would. This company is absolutely useless. I have had 10 months of no stable internet connection, they trying to charge me £65 plus VAT for a technician charge, yet the problem is still ongoing. Run if you can, you better off paying more. The customer service is rubbish, you can't understand them and they just don't care they getting their pay why should they care.

    Talk Talk is completely and utterly THE worst broadband supplier in the UK. We encounter problems every day without fail, and at one point out Internet was completely cutting out so we phoned customer service. First of all, the advisers were extremely cheeky and blunt. We were told that the Internet was not working because there was more than one device connected to the Internet. This of course is absolutely ridiculous as broadband is supposed to be able to support numerous devices. Basically, the woman told us that it was out fault that our Internet was not working and that she could do nothing about it. I would not recommend Talk Talk to even my least favourite of people but unfortunately we are stuck with it as because of where our home is situated we cannot get Virgin or Sky, but to anyone who can receive the better services, please do. I'm positive it would be money well spent compared to this terrible excuse for an internet provider.

    I had wanted to leave talk talk for many years, as the reliability of my broadband was very bad, I tried for months to resolve this but gave up, as not one person could help, the main problem is they don't listen to you and they really have no idea how to help. We called to cancel and was persuaded to get finer, we have less broadband and also no phone line for most of the time since we changed, and you have guessed it nobody can help. Terrible, terrible service, no matter what the deal, I would say don't go with them, as if you have a problem, they are useless at resolving it.

    Was with Talk Talk for many years before moving to France for 7 years. On return I thought I might as well return to them. Wrong move. Internet drops off many many times a day. Had issues the other day as I couldn't reach a couple of sites I need. I realised that it was Talk Talk's problem as I couldn't access via my laptop, my husband's laptop or my phone. Was told to contact the sites as it was their problem. While on the phone I tried using my mobile data via O2 and surprise surprise reached the sites immediately. They took my virus alerts off and I was able to access them. The same day I phoned again as the speed was of little use, like old dial up. I was told it was my devices !!!! So, got on to BT and am changing over on the 27th and can't wait for that day to come. All in all I spend 4 1/2 hours on the phone to Talk Talk before I couldn't bear it any more. If you want to be diagnosed with blood pressure then a 6 month period of being with Talk Talk is recommended.

    Very poor service, speeds below minimum guaranteed speed. I contacted several times to rectify talktalk were not interested. Trying to end my contract was a nightmare will never go with them again. Only thing I can say is it didn't go down very often.

    Our broad band service keep being lost intermittently (every 15 mins) which is very frustrating for whole family. I have been in touch with customer services on several occasions and the service is getting worse. An enginers came to the house yesterday. He arrive an hour earlier than appointment, hence only my daughter was in the house. After 2 mins he left without explaining what he had done. Today the but left without explaining what he had done. I have had enough and am looking to switch supplier.

    If I could give this less than one star I would. Been absolute nightmare from day one. Internet is on and off all the time. After what felt like 3 days talking to somebody in India, they sent a engineer out for free. He told me that was the best it was going to be as we were too far away from the exchange. They then sent me a bill for £50.00 and after what felt like another 3 days on the phone to India they told me that they had told me it would cost £50.00. Our speed is about 1.2 on a good day. We had sky, moved to talktalk but our internet is nowhere near fast enough for the tele package so that was a waste of time. Dont want to know once you have signed on dotted line, just keep telling me that that I am in 18 month contract. Contract is up in January so I am off asap. Whole experience has been a nightmare. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE = DONT LISTEN TO ADVERTS = ALL LIES

    I stupidly just signed up for their Wifi broadband deal - I was an existing customer having been with Opal who were bought out by Talk Talk. They then cut my existing service 17 days before before the new service was due to be activated. I have spend close to 2 hours on the phone with them since over the last 3-4 days. Over a dozen calls with each one leaving me on hold for up to 5 minutes and me being continuously passed around. Still no closer to resolution. Recommend you stay as far away from this useless outfit as possible.

    Fibre service worked for 4 days and then was down for 2 weeks. Repeatedly called India around 6 times and each time there was no record of any previous calls or faults registered on the line. Each time I was told I would be called back within 48 hours - never happened.

    On one occasion after repeatedly demanding to speak to someone in technical support I was transferred to a friendly guy (also in India), but after 10 minutes of talking to him about my fault he declared he was from the accounts department and couldn't help. I believe I was just fobbed off to a random extension on this occasion.

    On another occasion after repeatedly refusing to accept that I would get a call back, and after a muted discussion with a co-worker, I was told a network engineer was currently looking into the problem. This was a problem that they had said earlier in the call that there was no record of. Fob off for sure but I expected nothing more by this time.

    There was on one occasional talk of me paying in the region of £150 for an engineer to visit to check the original installation 4 days after installation. This would be refundable if it turned out not to be my fault.

    I abandoned the idea of ever getting the TalkTalk Helldesk to do anything about the fault so instead went to their official forums to post updates on all the lies and promises I had gotten verbatim. The issue very quickly got escalated to what's known as the "CEO's office" and I was given a personal handler to see out the rest of the complaint. This is the stage when somebody did something and the next day, an engineer came out and fixed the problem. That was thankfully the end of the technical problems.

    [The fault was eventually diagnosed to be that a BT OpenReach engineer pulled my cable out of the port in the street cabinet during another customers installation. Funny how every TalkTalk line test showed my line to be working perfectly even though I wasn't plugged into the exchange and my router was lit up red for DSL connectivity]

    On the billing side, they failed to notify my old supplier (BT) that they were taking over my phone line so I ended up paying line rental to both companies on the same line for months. Neither company would refund anything.

    In addition to all of this, the £120 of vouchers that were part of the offer never came and when I asked for them they denied there was ever any such thing.

    On a good note, there has only been a couple of hours of downtime in 3 years and as a heavy internet user I have always found the speed good.

    Doesn't even deserve a star. **** wifi all day, that only lasts for seconds then turns off for a while again. We might only have 2 hours of wifi per day. Called several times, all they can say is that 'there are some issues'. NO **** SHERLOCK thats why we call. Don't waste your time or money, not worth

    Internet speeds of less than .80mbps. Talk talk are trying to blame the poor connection on a faulty route, although the previous 3 they have sent have all produced similar speeds. I will be cancelling as soon as possible.

    Worst broadband & phone company ever
    broadband speed is slow & unstable even cutting out, you'll also be pestered with useless phone surveys if you miss a payment they'll slap an extra charge on you're bill, this is a horrible company, you've been warned.

    I have never had so much trouble with broadband.

    Initial set up was a nightmare cost me a lot in mobile phone calls throughout the whole process.

    Poorest speed i have had across 4 different providers.

    The supplied router is terrible continuously resetting it.

    Waited at home for 3 appointments (All day time slots) before engineer made it.

    Was supposed to receive vouchers when they didn't arrive they firstly refused to send them. Eventually I agreed to 1/2 the value still haven't received them after a month.

    And that is without taking into consideration the customer details being stolen twice.

    I have no positive comments for TalkTalk looking forward to to the contract coming to an end.

    Never get the quoted speed.... so upgraded to fibre and even that doesn't match what I should be getting
    Customer service is an absolute joke, don't know how to help, can never answer ur question cos they don't have a clue what your talking about and always want to pass u on to someone else! I've had a couple of bills shoot up for no reason at all and had to fight with them to get it lowered to what it should be! I call mobile team to speak about my sim only plan and they tell me they can't help that I then need to contact customer service to speak about my account! I was told 4 weeks ago I'd get a call back about a reimbursement I was to relieve and surprise surprise.... no one's called and when u call them I get told someone will contact me! Only thing they do quick enough is take your money! I'm not racist but why isn't there an English call centre? I keep getting told that I can't be understood! Overall talk talk is a joke in every department and I highly advise anyone thinking about joining them to avoid and go elsewhere

    Worst customer ever
    . They lie saying they will contact you but they dont. unusable brodband bright sparks engineer came, told me the problem was outside. No answer from talk talk even after ringing them several times.
    Moving to BT. Save your money everything is ok with talk talk until you have a problem.

    If I could give the speed and reliability 0 stars I would.
    The speed is glacial, and has been getting worse.
    There are times when I think dial up was faster, well actually sometimes it is as slow as 56K.
    Line was OK with sky, but with Talk Talk it just gets worse.

    This company is literally the most awful company ever. Don't think that when you join this company all you'll be paying is the price stated. They charge different prices randomly throughout the year, You'll spend all your time and money calling them just for nothing to be sorted.

    Appalling customer service..
    After waiting for 2 hours for a call back, they tried to blame my laptop rather than their router, though I could connect using a different network, or different router on same phone line.
    Was told he couldn't help, and to reset the router and call back if it didn't work.
    I said that wasn't good enough and he had to call me back, and after another hours wait he called back just to hang up on me after I said hello
    Now no response from talk talk at all.

    I would not recommend talk talk to anyone

    I agree, AVOID AT ALL COSTS WOULDNT USE EVEN IF IT WAS FREE. Average time on phone for customer services is 1hr. Average calls to sort out 1 issue is at least 10. I had tv package too but never worked. Paid to break contract it was so bad. Now with SKY. Brilliant customer services. 5 mins on phone

    I highly DO NOT recommend this service. They disconnected my internet and they took off my last bill without the disconnection, which made me wonder why not and I have waited for months for it to deduct on my direct debit. Few months later and a bill came through my door and I learned that they did not cancel the services and they keep taking money off me and I haven't been using the service for months, it was clear that I have talked to them to cancel my account and they did not. They have poor communication in their customer service, as I have clearly said that I don't want to use the service anymore and their customer service and I agreed that I will be paying the contract breakage fee. The most annoying part is they did not cancel my service and keep charging me. Every time I call I'm spending so much money as they often put you on hold and make you a long time. So not happy with the service.

    Awful stroppy customer service. Numerous engineers who can't make broadband work and I'm in London. Website hacked. Useless. Stay well away. Awful. Dreadful.
